A Little Girl Breastfeeding
It is common to see little children, both girls and boys, especially if they themselves were breastfed, play pretend games where they breastfeed their dolls as well as many other toys, even cars and dinosaurs which are definitely not mammals.
Children learn by observing and doing. Children’s play is practice for adult life. Children mimic what they see.
The video shows a 2.5 year old girl breastfeeding her doll. She has learned this by seeing mothers breastfeed their babies. This is how it always was, children learned by copying adult behaviour. Breastfeeding problems were less common when everyone breastfed.
