Objective: Upon completion of this course students will be able to determine the accurate cause of symptoms of slow or no weight gain, or weight loss, apparent “refux” or “colic”, “nursing strikes”, pulling or fussing at the breast. To advise regarding late onset of decreased milk supply and/or slow flow. Topics include: Late Onset of Decreased Milk Supply; Symptoms of slow or no weight gain or weight loss; Apparent “reflux” or “GERD”; “Colic” or “Overactive let-down”; Late Onset Nipple Pain; Breastfeeding Management, watching baby at the breast, drinking vs. sucking.
